Annual Barrel Tasting

Join us in celebration of our program, students and alumni working in the wine industry! Try soon-to-be bottled Chemeketa Cellars wines from the barrel with Wine Studies students in the winery to start, then head up to the first floor of the event venue you can meet current students and alumni from around the valley pouring tastes and selling bottles. Discover the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room, where you can try and buy delicious, award-winning student-grown, student-made wines. Sample Wild Pear and Basil & Board hors d'oeuvres while enjoying live music and the view from the patio.
Chemeketa's Horticulture department will also host a plant sale, where you can stock up on stunning annuals and perennials grown by Horticulture students on Chemeketa’s Salem campus.

5:45 pm Winery: Check-in and ID check (wristbands for those 21+)
6-6:45 pm Winery: Barrel tasting in the winery hosted by Wine Studies students
6-7 pm Winery: Chemeketa Horticulture Department plant sale
6-8 pm: Building 1 Main Venue: Alumni wineries, hors d'oeuvres, live music and the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room and patio open
6:45 pm: Building 1 Main Venue: Brief awards program
