Come enjoy an afternoon of painting while you enjoy the views and wine tasting at Chemeketa Cellars. You don't need to have great drawing skills to be able to paint fabulous paintings! You will learn some tips and tricks to create a painting that is uniquely yours. No matter what your previous experience, or lack of, you will find painting to be a joyful and relaxing way to express yourself. 

In November, we will be painting a snow scene. Students will be able to choose the snow scene they want to paint. While painting from images I will provide, you will learn to  incorporate color that reflects from the surroundings into the white snow and shadows. We will explore how light illuminates and glows on the shapes and surfaces of the objects covered in snow depending on the light source.  

Materials will be provided. All ages are welcome to explore painting with acrylic on canvas. Come in paint friendly clothes for 3 hours of art instruction and fun. Your finished painting on 11x14 canvas board is yours to keep, frame, and share with family and friends. 

*Note: Wine is NOT included in the cost of admission ticket (that way, those who are under 21 or who don't drink alcohol can still participate!) Wine by the glass, beer, cider and non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased in the tasting room, along with light bites and charcuterie platters. You can view the current menu here.
